This theme is also reflected in the matching Callaway Golf Headcovers. The bag’s zipper pulls, shaped like coffins, are a nod to the famous bunker beside the 8th hole’s green. The navy colour throughout the bag symbolizes Scotland’s national colours, highlighted by the Saltire on the tee pocket and a blue speckled ‘haze’ representing the challenging winds and sea of links golf.
Embroidered on the handle are two coronets, symbolizing the 5th and 6th Dukes of Portland, former landowners who permitted their estate to be used for the Royal Troon Golf Club. A serpent from the family’s coat of arms is incorporated into the 2024 icon at the bottom-front of the bag, adding to its rich heritage.
