As seen above, unevenly applied paint is visible under black light. This poorly applied paint creates heavy spots that may negatively impact ball performance, including flight trajectory and distance.

The chart above illustrates how a poorly painted urethane ball can be negatively affected during flight, causing up to 10 yards of dispersion. This means your precisely struck ball may not perform precisely. To address these negative effects and improve performance, we implemented a finely controlled paint application process for consistent performance and supreme shot-making confidence.
TESTING PROVED IT
During robotic testing and play tests with our Advisory Staff, unpainted Staff Model prototypes were evaluated next to our painted Staff Model balls. These ‘raw’ versions of the ball performed so well, delivered such exceptional precision and overall performance that our advisory staff demanded that we develop an unpainted version for production, and Staff Model R was born.
